Lynne Johnson
“Perhaps my work can be thought of as a searching out order in chaos, and random juxtapositions. The complexity of contemporary life is symbolized by over-lapping of memories, ideas and images. I find this in both our natural and human environment. As an environmentalist, I have a concern for recycling materials and for the preservation of our natural environment. I delight in the organic forms and surfaces of nature. I am drawn to piles of man-made discarded objects and of materials for recycling, being intrigued by forms and their individual forms and colors.” Johnson has been an instructor at DeCordova Museum School since 1987.
