Joy Dai Buell
Joy Dai Buell obtained both her BFA and MFA from Yale University in printmaking. She also has a BS in Education from Tufts University and a diploma from the School of Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She is known to offer superb criticism and encouragement. She is honest and constructive in assessing students’ strong and weak points and provides insightful instruction to foster further artistic development. She maintains a studio in Gloucester, MA, and takes students to France to work 'en plein air' every August. She has been an integral part of the drawing and painting departments of the DeCordova Museum School since 1996.
